Somebody explain facebook to me.

I have a facebook account. People I know send me invites to be their friends. Ok, so I accept them as friends. Then I get six zillion stupid games and quizzes and other bullshit that would normally show up in a spam filter if this was email. Then, if they want, they can send me a message. Can't they just send me a real email? What the fuck it this for? It really pisses me off. What do people do with it? I don't want to take a movie quiz, or play virtual tag or some other bullshit. Am I missing something?

AC woes

Our air conditioner is on the fritz again. We noticed that the air from the vents was not cold, and the house seemed warm. I checked the thermostat and the temp was up to 79 degrees in the house. I went outside and the condenser wasn't running, but the top was extremely hot to the touch. So, my guess is that the motor is fried (motor is directly below the hot spot). We have a home warranty, so the most we'll have to pay is 75 bucks. This warranty has saved us a ton of money, and I highly recommend getting one. I think I'll renew it for next year (cost $300 bucks for the year, came w/our house purchase).

Glasses

I had an eye exam today. Turns out I'm far sighted and need glasses. They should be ready to pick up in 7-10 days. So, I'll be sporting a new look.
